Funny, Friendly, Fabulous, FANCY Fives!

Hi parents!

I hope you're having a great day! Just wanted to share a picture of the funny, friendly, fabulous, FANCY five year olds. The kids asked if they could dress fancy tomorrow and I am perfectly okay with that. I have the bow ties that the boys made, but the girls took their crowns home. So, if they ask to dress fancy you are more than welcome to let them. We have library for related arts, and if you want to send a change of clothes, we can change before recess.

How Do You Like Them Apples?

Save the Date

We are going to pick apples at Callaham's on Thursday, September 23rd. We will leave CCA at 8:45 am. I will be sending home a permission slip soon, so check out your child's red folder for more details.

The cost is $7 for children and $5 for adults.

Book Orders

Parents -

Today your child will have a Scholastic Book Order form in his or her folder. Please take a look and choose some books that you can read with your child. By purchasing books you are helping us earn points to buy books for our classroom library. Checks can be made to Scholastic Book Clubs. Please send in all orders by next Wednesday, September 8th.

I also wanted to remind you about the Keep Book opportunity. 48 Keep Books can be purchased for just $30 and you have until October 1st to turn in orders. Checks can be made to CCA. I've already received a few orders and hope that everyone will be a part of this great program.

Work Hard, Play Hard!

Today was a fun day! The kids loved writing on the desks with washable markers - no paper involved! The marker wipes right off. We practiced writing the numbers 1 - 5. I can tell my friends have been doing their homework because their numbers looked great!

We worked hard all day (in fun ways, of course!) so by the end of the day we were ready for some recess time.

First Day of School

We had a great first day of school! My friends learned all about the Zoo Phonics animals and the sounds they make. We played with play-doh, went to chapel, and sang songs. We are going to have so much fun this year!

Spring Break

Hello friends!

I'm missing you a ton!! I have been resting and enjoying the break, but I couldn't stay away from school any longer. I went up to school today to get my plan book to start planning for the next 7 weeks. I can't believe school is almost over! We are going to have so much fun!!

Parents - remember that we have a 3-day and 5-day camp option this summer - Summer Splash. Let Mrs. Kim know if you want your child to get in on the fun. :)
