Zoo Party
Hey everyone!
We had a blast celebrating yesterday! I loved all my friends costumes. They were all so creative.
We ate lunch in our room and had ice cream. Then, we played "Zoo Catcher" on the playground. The zoo keeper had to catch all of the animals and put them in the zoo. I doubled as a penguin and the zoo keeper.
Here's a picture of our fun day! Have a great weekend!

Online Games and Resources
Parents,
I was just looking up some new fun games for my friends to play in computer center and came across this website. All these games are FREE! They would be great websites to let your children review the letters, letter sounds, vowels and rhymes. Some games would just be a review but if your kindergartner has younger siblings let the kindergartners "teach" the younger sibling these games. Your kindergartner is working on higher level thinking skills when he or she is teaching. This builds more connections in the brain and helps cement the skill for long term learning.

Denver Downs
Parents,
We are still planning to go to Denver Downs tomorrow morning. Please send your child in clothes that can get dirty since everything will probably still be wet from today. We will leave school around 8:30. If it does rain we will have to cancel.
Pray for a clear morning!
Love,
Mrs. Glenn

Homework Sheet
Hey parents,
The homework sheet didn't quite make it into the folder today. Please read your Little Bookworm tonight and we'll complete the sheet together in class later on this week.
Mrs. Beak will be substituting tomorrow for me as I will be out of town.
If you need anything feel free to call, text or email me.
Love,
Mrs. Glenn

Got Glue?
We don't! We are in serious need of some glue sticks. We could also use some hand soap. Thanks so much!

Welcome Mrs. Bernie!
Mrs. Bernie Harvey has joined our class as the morning assistant. Mrs. Bernie has been helping CCA since school started during our lunch time. Her son, Drew, is in the 3K program. Make It Take It Workshop
Thanks so much to everyone who came out tonight to the workshop! I hope you enjoyed learning ways that you can help your child at home. If there is ever anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to ask.
The website I mentioned tonight that has amazing resources is fcrr.org.
Click on K - 1 to the right.
Scroll down to the purple bar that says "Phonological Awareness"
Explore all the different parts. (Part One, Part Two, etc.)
You can also explore the different parts under the orange bar that says "Phonics"
Tons of great stuff!
Also, I will be making your CD's ASAP.
I love teaching your kids and I'm so thankful for them and for you!
Love,

Community Helpers
We had some exciting visitors yesterday! Friends from the Army National Guard, Mr. Tommy from Publix and Nurse Cheryl from AnMed came to talk to us about how they help in our community. Today, Mrs. Connie, from BMW, came to talk to us about making cars. We are so thankful for how these people help in our community! Thanks for sharing what you do with us.
